A consultancy built around safe data and responsible technology
SafeDaTech, short for safe data and technology, helps organisations protect the personal information they hold, strengthen their security and use artificial intelligence responsibly. We are based in Maiduguri, Borno State, and work with organisations across Nigeria.
Mission
To help organisations in Nigeria and beyond protect personal information, manage technology risk and adopt AI in ways people can trust.
Vision
A digital environment in Africa where organisations use data and technology confidently, lawfully and responsibly.
What we stand for
Honesty
We say what we can do, what we cannot, and when a licensed partner is needed.
Practicality
Recommendations must work in your organisation, with your people and your budget.
Plain language
Regulation and technology explained so a board member or a field officer can act on it.
Confidentiality
We protect our clients' information as carefully as we ask them to protect others'.
Our approach
We look at privacy, security, governance and AI use together, because they all concern the same data. Every engagement follows the same seven stages: discover, map, assess, recommend, implement, enable and monitor.
- 1Discover Understand your organisation, obligations and priorities.
- 2Map Trace the personal data, systems and AI tools you rely on.
- 3Assess Measure gaps against the NDPA, security practice and your own policies.
- 4Recommend A prioritised plan with costs, owners and dates.
- 5Implement Policies, controls and documents put in place with your team.
- 6Enable Train staff so the new way of working sticks.
- 7Monitor Review, refresh and prepare for each annual return.

Some activities in Nigeria require a licence. Compliance audit returns must be filed by an NDPC licensed Data Protection Compliance Organisation, and penetration tests and ISO certification need accredited specialists. We prepare the work and tell you plainly when a licensed partner completes it.
Let's build a more secure and responsible digital environment.
